By Rhona O'Hara On Saturday evening May the 13th, patrons of our Purple Piano events were treated to a decadent meal followed by great music by Valley Sound. Craig Hickey, President of our TCA, welcomed everyone. Volunteers served up apple carrot pumpkin soup topped with plain yogurt and a dusting of chives, as an appetizer. The second course was delicious potato salad, broccoli salad and sweet and sour meat balls. Dessert followed, which was a lemon filled white cake topped with whipped cream and a strawberry slice. When tummies were full, Valley Sound members Rick Morehouse, Mary Hay, Judy McAloon Canny and Leanne Moir serenaded us with wonderful harmony which was enjoyed by all. They received a standing ovation. Thank you to all our hard working volunteers who helped with setting up tables, preparation of the food, serving and clean-up. We appreciate you all so much. Volunteers keep our association alive!
